I clicked on this just to hear Pat hating on some random song I never heard of, having no idea it was in fact a song I had already listened to (under duress) at work for years and despised with a deep passion already. Yeah sure, over-exposure can ruin any song, but I'm not going to let that rationale eat away at my hatred. I swear to god it was like every morning I'd walk in the door and hear "Hey-eh heyey eh eh!" Has anyone suggested that "Pressure" is kind of Billy Townshend? With the synths and phrasing, it gives me late 70s/early 80s Who and Pete Townshend vibes. Music Must Change, Sister Disco, New Song, just about everything from "Empty Glass," and so on. Just a thought.

Pat Barnes is the original singer and still is the lead singer. You can find on UA-cam a great interview with Jeff Carlisi the lead guitarist. These guys grew up with Lynard Skynard guys in Florida and the dude with the hat is Ronnie Van Zants brother. Not a .38 special fantatic but they had hits that’s for sure. My tastes can go from .38 special to King Crimson to Miles Davis to JS Bach to Taylor Swift ffs Im a musical ho 😊
